![]() =) Hope this helps and that your husband has a great birthday. I like that when the pot needs to be washed out, for a new plant, you can take the insert out so it doesn't get ruined, where as the paint on the color-me-mine ones can chip (I've had that happen) and the ones from Michael's are hard plastic, so it's less likely to break. My son makes these every year for his teachers end of year gift (we include seeds, shovel, gloves and a card made from his hand print that says "Thank you for helping me grow" and they always turn out super cute. They are less than 5 dollars a piece so it's affordable, and if you print a coupon for Michael's online, it will cut the cost as well (just google Michael's printable coupons). The inserts are usually generic scenes but you can cut a piece of paper to the same size and let the kids do their own design with crayons/markers and stickers. Michael's Craft Store has these plastic flower pots with a paper insert in them that you color and then put back in. Thanks In Advance for any of your suggesstions/ideas! I know I should have planned weeks in advance for the customized products, but did not think would take a full week! Color Me Mine is situated nearby to Westlake Shopping Center and Fitness 19. with this plan, but advises me unglzed/unbaked ceramics can look quite plain). Color Me Mine is a recreation area in California located on Westlake Center. Do you know of any other places to make similar customized products, but can bring the finished products home immediately? Otherwise, I am planning to bring home the unglazed/unbaked pots and place nice (flower) plants, and have kids give to their daddy during the birthday party, then take the pots back to "Color Me Mine" to finish to the final products (the shop is o.k. ![]() ![]() The only problem is: I learned that after you color on objects, it takes up to one week to be glzed and baked.Certainly not ready to be presented to my husband as a gift during Birthday dinner party tomorrow. If a game fails to start, a possible reason is that it is missing required libraries. If you figure out a missing library you can use pacman or pkgfile to search for packages that contain the missing library. To correctly debug a program or shared library it is therefore important that these environment variables in your debug environment match the environment you wish to debug. The LD_LIBRARY_PATH and LD_PRELOAD environment variables can alter which shared libraries are loaded, see ld.so(8). To see the shared libraries required by a program or a shared library run the ldd command on it, see ldd(1). You can also use the Steam native runtime without steam-native-runtime by manually installing just the packages you need. This package provides the steam-native script, which launches Steam with the STEAM_RUNTIME=0 environment variable making it ignore its runtime and only use system libraries. ![]() The steam-native-runtime package depends on over 130 packages to pose a native replacement of the Steam runtime, some games may however still require additional packages. If you mix the Steam runtime libraries with system libraries you will run into binary incompatibility issues, see steam-for-linux issue #4768. More interesting than your attack weapons though are probably the ones that can help with the platforming, such as suction cup darts you can use to make platforms or even the acid bubble serving as a potential third jump if you land on top of it rather than being dissolved by approaching it head first.Īnd platforming help can definitely be desired, as the levels in BattleBlock Theater can push you to be precise, quick, and rapidly go from one challenge to another while trying to avoid death, although the game will also give you some reprieve between a level’s obstacles to figure out how to go ahead. You have some punches that can handle them, but you also get to enter levels with a weapon, some of these as simple as a thrown explosive while others may freeze enemies, blow them up with walking frogs, or dissolve them with an acid bubble. Sliding, phasing through platforms, and grabbing and moving objects aren’t exactly revolutionary ideas for a character’s capabilities, but you do have a few offensive options to handle the cats who are on stage with you trying to kill you or keep you from clearing hazards. Your skill set is deceptively simple but ever-growing, the player having a double jump to handle the jumping with but there are many ways to interact with the environment as the game goes on. Each level is in essence once big box that is filled in with different environmental pieces, but despite this the areas still can have distinct structural identities, partly because the box can be bigger or smaller as need be and the platforms within can reshape it to make it feel less like you are on a stage performing for cats who just want to see you die. The game’s silliness certainly creates a strong style and tone, but the platforming is actually focused pretty well on providing tightly designed challenges that can become quite demanding of your skills. There are a few small developments as you clear the challenges, but it’s definitely not a game aiming to form a coherent strong narrative, instead happy to be goofy at every turn. A ship full of an abnormally high amount of mutual friends ends up on an island where some chubby cats take the people prisoner and make them perform deadly platform challenges for their amusement, all while “the best friend” of the group Hatty Hattington is corrupted by, appropriately enough, a hat to design these challenges for you. The ridiculousness of the narrator isn’t even keeping you from much a plot either. The narrator isn’t just there for the scenes either, popping up during gameplay to continue to deliver quirky and comedic lines in reaction to your activity as well as sometimes singing the backing music himself, and while there is an option to reduce his commentary or even turn it off, you’d be shutting out one of the game’s most enjoyable aesthetic charms. When it comes time for the narrator to do a scene, he explains the events almost like a child who’s too excited to tell you a story, going off on weird tangents, tripping over words, focusing on strange elements, and getting distracted by the jokes being told to the point the plot can be completely forgotten for a bit as we explore the silly new idea brought up. The cutscenes of the game are entirely carried by one man explaining the events, but rather than that being a dry form of exposition, the narrator is such an energetic and goofy character that they might be the highlights of an already solid platforming experience. You can tell the creators of BattleBlock Theater had a blast making it, and most of that comes down to the utterly ridiculous narrator featured in the game. ![]() ![]() ![]() Where Dota encourages seeing characters for their mechanics, Heroes has to reward players who just want to be Kerrigan or Thrall. From first impressions, which are the only impressions available, a really, really good one that looks set to be particularly good for players who've been tempted by the likes of Dota 2 but were scared off after seeing its learning curve built of lava and broken glass. It's every bit as satisfyingly chunky and weighty as Valve's Dota 2, but its own game in all the key details. Instead, each character has a talent tree, with clear English upgrades to pick from. A bad player can still feed this way, but can't ever become utterly useless. There's no last hitting for instance, and the whole team levels up as one. That's not to say there isn't scope for high level play, just that it's something to work up to rather than an immediate slap in the face.Īt first glance, and especially given that both it and its predecessor Aeon of Strife started in Blizzard games, Heroes looks like it's going to be another stock Dota 2 competitor (and as if the number of names for that genre wasn't already ridiculous, Blizzard would like to add "Hero Brawler" to the taxonomical tar-pit.) Almost immediately though, the changes/heresies begin building up. Actually play it though, and it quickly becomes clear that the better comparison is to see it as Super Smash Bros versus Street Fighter 2 - if only because it's going to be far easier to pick a character because they're your favourite. The obvious comparison is to look at it and Dota in much the same way as Hearthstone vs. The snapshot represents a frozen moment in time, preserving the culmination of our efforts over the past 8 years.Heroes of the Storm is a MOBA/ARTS/LMG/WHATEVER that existing MOBA/ARTS/LMG/WHATEVER fans are going to hate - and that's okay. Lucky for me, it takes more than a showy side eye to turn me off of a Trek game. ![]() The facial animations for the Aldyians and hotari are certainly emotional and dynamic, but the human faces have a lot of Mass Effect 1 stray eyebrow energy, and everyone always looks mildly confused and slightly annoyed. Instead of prosthetics, we have detailed alien faces thanks to the Unreal Engine. ![]() It’s one thing to come up with a name for a species, but how do you make two races that fit into the Star Trek universe? Especially since most of the aliens in Star Trek were made to look real by using prosthetics. Even though it’s always fun to see familiar faces in Star Trek, I was very excited to see the two new species that were made just for Resurgence. At the end of the episode, Portal says, “I’ll sleep until I’m needed again.” For an episode that came out in 1987, that was a hell of a hint at what would happen in the future. Once Riker solves Portal’s riddle and proves humanity’s worth, Portal lets go of the Enterprise and a Ferengi ship. In it, a Tkon guardian named Portal 63 challenges Riker. For those who don’t know, Season 1 is when Riker doesn’t have a beard and sits in chairs in a unique way. The Tkon are an ancient civilization that was first mentioned in The Last Outpost in Season 1 of The Next Generation. Only, there is ancient, advanced Tkon technology and trickery at work here, and not everyone is who they say they are. ![]() Jara and the rest of the crew of the Resolute have to keep the two races from fighting over the mines and the Dilithium inside them. Resurgence introduces two new species: the rocky-faced, hardy, and once subservient hotari, who mined on their planet’s moon, Tau, and the tall, militaristic alydians, who look like Kelpians or Kaminoans and used to control the hotari by making them work in mines that they technically owned. ![]() |
